About the firm

Local expertise,
hands-on delivery

Landev Consulting is a civil engineering and land development firm headquartered on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast. Founded by Dustin Christmas, P.Eng., we specialize in transforming undeveloped land into thriving communities and functional infrastructure.

From subdivision design to municipal servicing, our work shapes the built environment across the Sea-to-Sky corridor and beyond. With offices in Gibsons and West Vancouver, and a new Squamish location opening in 2026, we bring local expertise and hands-on project management to every engagement.

Our approach is rooted in technical rigour and pragmatic problem-solving. We understand the unique terrain, regulatory landscape, and environmental sensitivities of coastal British Columbia, and we design infrastructure that works within these constraints rather than against them.

What we do

Comprehensive civil engineering services

We deliver end-to-end engineering solutions for land development, municipal infrastructure, and environmental management. Every project receives the same level of technical depth and personal attention.

01

Land Development & Subdivision Design

Complete subdivision engineering from initial site assessment through to registered plan of survey. Lot grading, road layout, utility corridors, and parkland dedication.

02

Municipal Infrastructure Design

Design of public infrastructure systems to municipal standards, including water distribution networks, sanitary sewer collection, and storm drainage systems.

03

Stormwater Management

Integrated stormwater management planning using both conventional and green infrastructure approaches. Detention, retention, rain gardens, bioswales, and permeable surfaces.

04

Road & Transportation Design

Geometric road design, intersection improvements, pedestrian infrastructure, and traffic management plans for both new developments and corridor upgrades.

05

Grading & Earthworks Engineering

Site grading design for complex terrain. Cut-fill optimization, retaining wall design, slope stability assessment, and erosion and sediment control planning.

06

Utility Design

Engineering design for water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure. Coordination with third-party utilities including BC Hydro, FortisBC, and Telus.

07

Construction Administration

Field inspection and contract administration during construction. Review of contractor submittals, progress monitoring, deficiency tracking, and certification of completion.

08

Floodplain Analysis & Mitigation

Hydraulic and hydrological analysis, flood construction level determination, dike design and upgrades, and coordination with provincial and federal regulatory agencies.

09

Environmental Coordination

Integration of environmental requirements into engineering design. Riparian area assessments, DFO coordination, environmental monitoring plans, and regulatory permitting support.

10

Project Management

End-to-end project management from feasibility through construction completion. Scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory approval management.

Selected work

Projects that shape communities

A selection of our work across British Columbia's coastal communities. Each project reflects our commitment to thoughtful engineering that respects the land and serves the people who live on it.

Gibsons, BC

Gibsons Landing Residential Development

A 48-lot residential subdivision on the upper Sunshine Coast featuring full municipal servicing including road construction, water distribution, sanitary sewer, and an integrated stormwater management system. The sloped, ocean-view terrain required innovative grading solutions and retaining wall design to maximize developable area while preserving natural drainage patterns.
