Landev Consulting Ltd.
Civil engineering and land development across British Columbia's Sea-to-Sky corridor. From subdivision design to municipal infrastructure, we build what lasts.
Landev Consulting is a civil engineering and land development firm headquartered on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast. Founded by Dustin Christmas, P.Eng., we specialize in transforming undeveloped land into thriving communities and functional infrastructure.
From subdivision design to municipal servicing, our work shapes the built environment across the Sea-to-Sky corridor and beyond. With offices in Gibsons and West Vancouver, and a new Squamish location opening in 2026, we bring local expertise and hands-on project management to every engagement.
We understand the regulatory landscape, the terrain, and the communities we serve. Every project benefits from our deep knowledge of local conditions, municipal requirements, and environmental considerations unique to coastal British Columbia.
From initial site assessment through construction administration, we provide integrated engineering services for land development projects of every scale.
Complete subdivision layout and lot grading design, optimizing yield while meeting municipal development standards and environmental constraints.
Roads, water, sewer, and storm systems designed to current municipal standards with consideration for lifecycle costs and future capacity.
Detention, retention, and treatment systems including green infrastructure approaches such as rain gardens, bioswales, and permeable surfaces.
Local road networks, intersection design, and pedestrian infrastructure aligned with municipal transportation plans and safety standards.
Cut-and-fill analysis, retaining wall design, and erosion control for challenging coastal and hillside terrain across the Sea-to-Sky corridor.
Water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, and storm drainage systems engineered for reliability, capacity, and regulatory compliance.
On-site inspection and contract administration ensuring constructed works meet design intent, specifications, and quality standards.
Hydrological and hydraulic modelling, flood hazard assessment, dike design, and mitigation strategies for flood-prone development areas.
Coordination with DFO, provincial agencies, and environmental consultants to navigate regulatory requirements and protect sensitive habitats.
End-to-end project coordination from feasibility through occupancy, managing consultants, contractors, and municipal approval processes.
A selection of civil engineering and land development projects across British Columbia's Sea-to-Sky corridor, from residential subdivisions to municipal infrastructure.
Gibsons, BC — Sunshine Coast
A 48-lot residential subdivision on the upper Sunshine Coast featuring full municipal servicing including road construction, water distribution, sanitary sewer, and an integrated stormwater management system. The sloped, ocean-view terrain required innovative grading solutions and retaining wall design to maximize developable area while preserving natural drainage patterns.
Squamish, BC
Civil engineering design for a 15-hectare commercial and industrial development in the District of Squamish. Scope included access road design, underground utility corridors, and stormwater retention facilities engineered to meet the district's updated development permit requirements.
West Vancouver, BC
Road realignment, utility upgrades, and pedestrian infrastructure improvements along a 1.8-kilometre corridor in the District of West Vancouver. The project addressed aging water and sewer infrastructure while adding protected pedestrian pathways and improved intersection geometry.
Sechelt, BC — Sunshine Coast
A 32-lot hillside residential development in the District of Sechelt requiring complex grading design, engineered retaining walls, and an innovative stormwater management approach using rain gardens and bioswales to manage runoff on steep terrain.
Squamish, BC — Mamquam River
Dike upgrades and comprehensive floodplain analysis for the District of Squamish along the Mamquam River corridor. Environmental sensitivity of the riparian zone required close coordination with DFO and provincial environmental agencies. Upgraded flood protection serves over 1,200 downstream properties.
Gibsons, BC — Hopkins Landing
Complete replacement of aging water distribution and sanitary sewer infrastructure serving over 200 properties. Phased construction maintained service continuity while upgrading to current seismic and capacity standards throughout the neighbourhood.
Britannia Beach, BC
Site servicing and civil engineering design for a mixed-use development at the historic Britannia Mine site. Close coordination with environmental remediation efforts and innovative stormwater treatment to address legacy contamination concerns.
Whistler, BC
Municipal servicing design for a 4.2-hectare mixed-use development in Whistler. Incorporated district energy integration, advanced stormwater treatment, and utility corridors designed for future expansion in a high-profile resort municipality.
P.Eng. — Principal & Founder
Dustin Christmas founded Landev Consulting to bring senior-level civil engineering expertise directly to land development projects across British Columbia's Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky corridor. With a career spanning residential subdivisions, municipal infrastructure, and flood mitigation, Dustin combines technical depth with practical construction knowledge earned through years of hands-on project delivery.
His approach is straightforward: understand the site, respect the constraints, and design infrastructure that serves communities for decades. Every Landev project benefits from his direct involvement, from initial feasibility through construction completion.
